The Signature story began in a foam-filled shaping bay in 1985 when Lisle Coney from Country Rhythm Surfboards in South Africa first shared the skill of hand-shaping surfboards with Ivan van Vuuren.

Fast forward a few generations to the Hawaiian Islands & the birthplace of Signature Performance Gear. There began the journey of crafting unique shapes for surfers to style on. This passion for surfing & creating beautiful works of art called “surfboards” still runs through our veins.
